Békéscsaba is becoming a festival town, as it hosts many national and international programs, such as Sausage Festival, Pálinka fesztivál or international Puppet Theatre festival as well.

The Békéscsabai Jókai Theatre was the first brick-and-mortar theatre building of South-Eastern Hungary. It is known as one of the best theatres of the country.

On the banks of the Körös Canal, the Csabagyöngye Cultural Center houses 130 civil communities, amateur groups, multifunctional rooms, exhibition hall, a café and a restaurant. Multifunctional rooms on  6,000 m².

A lovely spot in the city is the Körös-Canal with the Széchenyi City Park, canalside.

ÁRPÁD Thermal Bath Spa

Built in 1922, the Árpád Thermal Baths and Spa – has 9 pools and offers medical and wellness services in the heart of the city. The Baths with a unique family atmosphere offers warm thermal waters rich in alkaline hydro carbonates.

Besides this a theme bath and spa offer a wide variety of facilities including jacuzzis, a whirlpool, sunbathing areas and waterslides.

Csaba Center with  80.000 square metres of retail space features many international retail chain outlets and the Center Cinema multiplex.
 

MUNICIPAL SPORTS HALL

The Municipal Sports Hall is a multi-use indoor stadium in Békéscsaba with its own hotel also in the building.

This is the home of the Five times Hungarian Champion, Women’s Volleyball Team (BRSE).
