Thousands of Seedlings Found New Homes on Earth Day
Together for a Greener and More Livable Environment
To mark Earth Day, we organized a flower giveaway in front of City Hall, where approximately 3,500 annual flower seedlings were distributed to residents.
The event attracted significant interest, with nearly 1,000 participants attending, demonstrating the community’s strong commitment to beautifying and caring for their surroundings. The plants distributed—including various begonias, dusty miller, periwinkle, gazania, garden verbena, sweet alyssum, marigolds and lobelia—will soon find their place in gardens and on balconies, adding colour and charm throughout the city.
Special thanks are due to the Esély Educational Centre, where these seedlings are carefully cultivated year after year. Without their dedication and expertise, this initiative would not be possible in its current form.
The flower giveaway, which has become a valued local tradition, once again contributed to our shared goal of creating a more liveable, attractive and flower-filled city.
