Blooming Public Spaces, Vibrant City

Festively Decorated Green Spaces

Flower beds are not only attractive features of our cityscape, but also serve important community and ceremonial functions. They provide fitting settings for major public celebrations: Kossuth Square offered a dignified venue for the commemorations of 15 March, while Easter decorations currently enhance the festive atmosphere in Saint Stephen Square.

Although prolonged sunshine has yet to arrive, parks and public squares are already brightened by colourful pansies, tens of thousands of which were planted last autumn. These hardy biennial flowers tolerate cooler weather well and bring life and colour to the urban environment from early spring onwards. Alongside the pansies, spring bulbs will soon come into bloom. Tulips and daffodils will create a harmonious display, making the city’s flower beds even more spectacular.

With the arrival of spring, maintenance works across the city’s green spaces have begun and continue on an ongoing basis. The specialists of Békéscsaba City Management Ltd. have carried out weed control, pruning, the renewal of shrubs and rose beds, and the repair of winter damage.

Well-maintained parks, clean public spaces and flourishing flower beds not only enhance the appearance of the city but also create a more pleasant and welcoming environment for everyday life and for the festive season alike.
